Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association has a new executive director.
Kyle Williams has been hired to fill the vacant position, board reps announced this week.
Williams served on the BIA board from 2009 to 2013 and has been making his mark in the advertising department of The Progress since 2006.
"The BIA is confident that the addition of Kyle Williams is a key step towards achieving its goals," said BIA president Barb Kemp.
Williams brings considerable experience with local businesses and community events.
The ED will work in tandem with the BIA president, its board of directors, member businesses and partners to foster the development of the downtown.
His first day downtown on the job will be Monday Dec. 2.
