April 10 to 12, 2025 • Highroad Academy Theatre Company presents Frozen Jr. at Highroad Academy (46641 Chilliwack Central Rd.) from April 10 to 12. Show times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. Tickets are $20 – which help fund the theatre program – and available at highroadacademy.com.

April 11, 2025 • Spiderlodge 'Canadiana' is an all-ages evening marking the 20th anniversary of Chilliwack folk-rock group Spiderlodge featuring Lori Paul and Rick Genge. This album-release concert is set for April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at 45892 Wellington Ave. For tickets, go to checkout.eventcreate.com/spiderlodge/select-buy.

April 11, 2025 • The next Friday Morning Book Club meeting is at the Chilliwack Library on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Chosen books will change monthly and copies are provided by the library. This is a drop-in event.

April 12 and 13, 2025 • The third annual Rotary Climate Fair runs Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Landing Sports Centre (45530 Spadina Ave.). This free, all-ages event features an educational trade show, job fair and several speakers who are helping to create a cleaner future. April 12, 2025 • The Spring Flea Market is at Cooke's Presbyterian Church (45825 Wellington Ave.) on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be about 30 vendors there, selling plants, food, baking, artisan items, pre-loved gifts for Mother's Day and Easter, and more. April 12 to 20, 2025 • It's Easter at Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.) on April 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20. Beginning at 9 a.m. each day, kids can hunt for eggs in the apple orchard and will receive an Easter reward. New this year is an Easter Bunny adventure course for kids 5 to 12 filled with interactive challenges. There's also face painting, baby animal displays and photos with the Easter Bunny, spring scavenger hunt, scenic train rides through blooming tulip fields, fire pits and more. April 12, 2025 • Award-winning young pianist Hamilton Lau is at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre in the Rotary Hall Studio Theatre on April 12 at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation. For more, go to hamiltonlaupiano.com.

April 12, 2025 • Carman United Church is holding an Easter bake sale on Saturday, April 12 at the church hall (7258 Vedder Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Baking, jams, pickles etc. will be for sale. There's also coffee, tea and cinnamon buns, and cost is by donation.

April 14, 2025 • It's Poetry Open Mic at the Chilliwack Library on Monday, April 14 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April is poetry month and this event is hosted by Chilliwack Progress editor Jessica Peters. It is open to anyone aged 16 and older. All languages and styles of poetry are encouraged. Come prepared to read one or more poems as participants will work through a readers list. Light refreshments will be provided. This is a drop-in event.

April 15, 2025 • It's 'Marshmallow Engineering' for this month's STEAM Tween Tuesday at the Chilliwack Library on April 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Kids will build structures using marshmallows and toothpicks while exploring shapes, balance, and design. It's the perfect mix of learning and play… and maybe even a little snacking. For kids in Grades 4 to 7. All materials supplied. Online registration required.

April 16 to May 17, 2025 • ART33, the annual Chilliwack School District high school art show, is at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre art gallery from April 16 to May 17. The show features work by students in Grades 11 and 12. Opening reception is Saturday, April 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

April 16, 2025 • People can share ideas, learn new tips and tricks, solve research roadblocks, and learn the history of the area and era they are researching at Genealogy Group. It's at the Chilliwack Library on Wednesday, April 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Facilitated by Marlene Dance who has more than 50 years’ experience researching. This is a drop-in event.

April 17 to 19, 2025 • The Renaissance Dog Association championship dog show is April 17 to 19 at Chilliwack Heritage Park. This is a free event and open to everyone. It includes various vendors, and a silent auction with proceeds going to the 'Wounded Warriors' to help pay for a therapy dog. Organizers of the dog show are asking people to bring donations of non-perishable items for the local food bank.

April 17, 2025 • Singer-songwriter Maddi Krulicki will be speaking during the next Creative Third Thursdays session at Cowork Chilliwack (12-8465 Harvard Pl.) on April 17. She is a multidisciplinary artist from Chilliwack, with roots in both the Snuneymuxw First Nation and Stó:lō territory. She is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in music production, songwriting, sound recording, mixing, plus visual arts and graphic design. April 17, 2025 • The next meeting for the Thursday Night Book Club at the Chilliwack Library is April 17 from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Chosen books will change monthly and copies are provided by the library. Drop in.

April 18, 2025 • Spirit and Tradition by the Dancers of Damelahamid is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35, with membership program discounts available, and can be purchased at the Centre Box Office, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW(7469).

April 22, 2025 • The Chilliwack Library is hosting Film Club: 'Losing Blue' – Earth Day Screening and Creative Expression Event on Tuesday, April 22 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. 'Losing Blue' is a 23-minute short film from the National Film Board of Canada about the impact of climate change on mountain lakes. Afterward, join a 'fluid form art therapy' activity to express thoughts creatively. This event is open to adults 19 and older, with refreshments provided. Online registration required.

April 22, 2025 • Join others at the Chilliwack Library for Earth Day Trivia on Tuesday, April 22 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. People can test their knowledge on environmental facts, sustainability, and conservation. Compete with a team up to four members, learn something new, and celebrate the planet in a fun, interactive way. For ages 19 and older. Online registration required.

April 24 to May 4, 2025 • The Chilliwack Players Guild presents Matilda: The Musical from April 24 to May 4 at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. on April 24, 25, 26, May 1, 2, 3; and matinees are at 2 p.m. on April 27 and May 4. April 24, 2025 • Head to the Chilliwack Library for Sewing Workshop on Thursday, April 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to create a centrepiece mat. This hands-on class is perfect for beginners and experienced sewers alike. People will learn new techniques while crafting a unique mat. All materials will be provided. For ages 19 and older. April 25, 2025 • Improv Comedy Rumble, presented by The Comedy Department, is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on April 25 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $39 and available at the Centre Box Office, online at chilliwackculturalcentre.ca, or by calling 604-391-SHOW(7469).

April 25 and 26, 2025 • It's Grandparents' Day on April 25 at Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.), and Princess Day on April 26. It's free admission for all grandparents on Friday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the following day, the farm welcomes kids to visit with fairy tale royalty Princess Elsa (10:30 a.m. to noon) and web-slinging superhero Spider-Gwen (2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.). April 25, 2025 • It's Friday Every Day Café for Seniors at the Chilliwack Library on Friday, April 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Seniors are welcome to join for activities, light refreshments and occasionally special guests. This month: Join Bronwyn Punch for a presentation on 'Travelling as a Senior.' This is a drop-in event.

April 25, 2025 • Chilliwack producer and DJ 'Garneau' will be performing at loft party 'Trust Me' on April 25 at 6 p.m. at Sidekick Brewing (45530 Vedder Mountain Rd.). Teen Daze will also be playing and the event goes until 10 p.m. This is a 19+ event. Tickets $15 and available at eventbrite.com.

April 26, 2025 • The Cultus Lake Community Association is hosting a community-wide garage sale at Cultus Lake Park on Saturday, April 26. People taking part will have items for sale at their own residences from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

April 26 and 27, 2025 • The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival presents Chilliwack Party in the Park on April 26 and 27. It features 20 food trucks, a vendors' market, beer garden, kids' zone and live entertainment. This is a free event and it runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday at Central Community Park.

April 26, 2025 • Clothes2U returns to Chilliwack on April 26 where people can pick up free clothes for baby to adult, plus toys, diapers/incontinence items, linens, personal and smaller household things. It's at the Chilliwack Alliance Church (8700 Young Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Entry fee is $5 cash, kids 10 and under no charge. Every paid attendee is entered into the door prize draw. April 26, 2025 • Bat Conservation: Protecting Our Winged Neighbours from White-Nose Syndrome is at the Chilliwack Library on Saturday, April 26 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join junior biologist Aysha McConkey as she explores bat conservation and white-nose syndrome on B.C.'s South Coast. Learn why bats are vital, how to protect them, and ways to get involved. Topics include bat encounters, gardening for bats, and bat-box tips. This program is in partnership with the BC Community Bat Program. This is a drop-in, all-ages event.

April 26, 2025 • The Ryder Lake Community Yard Sale, Repair Cafe and Bottle Drive is Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ryder Lake Hall (49265 Elkview Rd.).

May 1 to 7, 2025 • BC Youth Week is May 1 to 7 and there will be many activities happening at the Cheam Leisure Centre, Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre, and across Chilliwack just for youth. May 1: Kick-off barbecue with food, games, and giveaways for ages 10-18 is in the park outside Cheam from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 2: Free admission to Chilliwack Landing and Cheam Leisure Centres for youth 12-18 years old from 4 p.m. 10 p.m. May 3: Skateboard Jam with free food at the Landing Sports Centre from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; skateboards and helmets are provided or bring your own. May 4: Star Wars Movie Marathon for ages 10-18 at Cheam Leisure Centre from 12 p.m. 5 p.m.; includes snacks. May 7: Wrap-up party with free food, face painting and more for ages 10-18 at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. During youth week, purchase a youth punch pass or membership at the leisure centres to receive a free pair of sunglasses or water bottle. May 2, 2025 • The Night of Hope Gala, a fundraiser for Ruth and Naomi's Mission, is Friday, May 2 at Bridlewoods Event Centre (46191 Chilliwack Lake Rd.) from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It will be an evening of stories about hope and transformation, plus there will be a live and silent auction, dinner, entertainment by comedian Cliff Prang, and more. May 3, 2025 • The Secret Soirée 'Kentucky Derby', a fundraiser event for Chilliwack Community Services, is Saturday, May 3 at 6 p.m. That night, people meet at Frankie's Italian Kitchen and will be whisked away to a secret location. May 3, 2025 • The Chilliwack Garden Club's annual Plant Sale is at Cookes Presbyterian Church hall (45825 Wellington Ave.) on Saturday, May 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until sold out. There will be a large selection of perennials, annual and vegetable seedlings and much more all donated and grown by club members. This is a cash-only event. May 9, 2025 • The Chillsounds '60s Revue is at the Vineyard Community centre on Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. Music will be by The Maybelles, The Lounge Hounds, Dion Weisbrod of the Unbranded, Leo Nickle of Like Bears, Jenny Coleman, Ben Thorne of Dealer's Choice and Chillsounds. May 10, 2025 • The Shift Workout Event is at Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.) on May 10. This is a cardio and strength-training event with Michelle Bruys in collaboration with Land Studio and Café, Wilde Wellness and The Habit Project. Admission is $50 and includes food, beverages, swag bags and giveaways. Guests should bring a mat, running shoes, water bottle and towel and arrive 15 minutes early to set up prior to the event and are encouraged to stay afterwards and enjoy the farm. May 10, 2025 • The seventh annual Thrifty Boutique Fashionista Fashion Show is Saturday, May 10 at 6 p.m. at Evergreen Hall (9291 Corbould St.). The night will also include a curated pop-up boutique, silent auction, penny social, door prizes, complimentary glass of champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. May 10 and 11, 2025 • The Greendale Tulip Dig is May 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.). People can literally take a piece of the farm home with them when dig up tulip bulbs to plant on their own property. Admission is $15 and includes 25 bulbs per person. Guests are asked to bring a shovel, ‘dress for the mess’, and store bulbs in a dry place prior to planting in the fall for stunning blooms next spring. May 10, 2025 • Head to Cultus Lake to watch catamarans with their colourful sails at the season opening Hobie Class sailing regatta on May 10. The event will feature top catamaran sailors from across the Pacific Northwest with the first race starting at noon. May 11, 2025 • It's free admission for all moms at the Mother's Day Celebration event at Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.) on May 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The day features a pancake breakfast to kick off the day at 10 a.m. and one last chance to dig up tulip bulbs and take a piece of the farm home to plant on their own property. May 15 to 18, 2025 • Europa Super Circus makes its Canadian debut under the big top at the Chilliwack Coliseum from May 15 to 18. Performances include tight-wire acrobats, the Wheel of Death, all-star FMX ultimate circus riders, high-flying aerialists, roller skaters, and comedic clowns. May 22 to 24, 2025 • The Auld Lang Syne Dog Association championship dog show is May 22 to 24 at Chilliwack Heritage Park. June 7, 2025 • The 27th annual Gwynne Vaughan Park Plant Sale is Saturday, June 7 at the park on Hope River Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be more than 30 vendors selling plants and other items, plus there will be artisan booths, food, a silent auction, and live music. June 8, 2025 • The Fraser Valley Classic Car Show is Sunday, June 8 at the UFV Chilliwack campus (corner of Caen Avenue and Dieppe Street). This fundraiser event will support the Chilliwack General Hospital via the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. Those wanting to register their vehicle for the show, or for more information, go to fvccs.ca. The show opens to the public at 10 a.m.

July 5, 2025 • The all-ages Controlled Chaos Music Festival is Saturday, July 5 at the Chilliwack Coliseum starting at 2 p.m. Bands include: Big Duke Sorrow, The Bobby's, Cows Go Moo, Whitey, Tayos, The Unbranded, Strawberry Blondes and The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. The event also includes: on-site tattooing, food and drinks, a local artist/vendor market, skateboarding ramps and demos, and a kids' zone with games, face painting and more. July 7 to Aug. 22, 2025 • Learn to Sail on Cultus Lake this summer with the Cultus Lake Sailing Club. Children, youth and adult programs available from July 7 to Aug. 22. The courses are a combination of dry land instruction and water-based training and cover the principles of sailing as well as basic water safety and righting of capsized boats. NOW to April 12, 2025 • Light and Shadow, a group show and sale by members of the Chilliwack Visual Artist’s Association, is at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre art gallery from March 12 to April 12. Opening reception is set for Saturday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

NOW to May 11, 2025 • Greendale Acres Farm (41905 Yale Rd. W.) kicks off its 2025 season with its Sweet Spring Flower and Animal Festival from March 27 to May 11. Highlights include more than 100,000 tulips, footbridges, a windmill and train rides. For more, including ticket info, go to greendaleacres.ca.

NOW to June 2025 • The Chilliwack Rhythm Reelers, a non-profit modern social square dance group, is starting beginner classes on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at Atchelitz Hall (6542 Lickman Rd.). Classes take place every Friday from September 2024 to June 2025. The lessons are filled with fun, fitness and friendly people. Having a partner is not necessary. The group is made up of a diverse age range of dancers. Teens are welcome, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

NOW to Aug. 31, 2025 • Sts'ailes carver Lek'hoosh Arnie Leon has his work on display in The Mystical Eagle Carving Exhibit in the lobby of the Chilliwack Cultural Centre (9201 Courbold St.). The show will feature his wood carvings as well as Noelani Leon's painting and drawings, totalling 45 pieces on display. The exhibit goes until Aug. 31.

NOW to November 2025 • The Atchelitz Thresherman's Association Pioneer Village and Farm Museum (44146 Luckakuck Way) is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. most Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays until November. For more, go to atchelitz.ca/home. Entrance is by donation.

Every Friday evening • Chilliwack Grapplers Wrestling, along with Chilliwack Community Services, is offering free drop-in wrestling for youth every Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre on the second floor (45530 Spadina Ave.). The Chilliwack Chess Club meets twice a week where chess aficionados can connect, learn, and engage in friendly matches. It is open to everyone from beginners to grand masters. They meet Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Starbucks across from Real Canadian Superstore (45750 Luckakuck Way) and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church on Brooks Avenue.

First Saturday of each month • Very Very Improv Theatre, a professional company based in the Fraser Valley, has monthly performances at CoWork Chilliwack. Scott Campbell is leading a company of talented improvisers from across the Lower Mainland including Chilliwack-based comedian Cliff Prang. The shows happen on the first Saturday of every month at CoWork Chilliwack. Tickets for all performances are available at veryveryimprov.ca/tickets.

Every Tuesday night • Corky’s Irish Pub wants you to come be a rock star as they host karaoke every Tuesday night.

Every Wednesday morning • TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 1303 Chilliwack meets Wednesday mornings at the Lynnwood Retirement Residence at 9168 Corbould St. Weigh-in is at 8:15 a.m. followed by a meeting from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. For information call 604-316-5202 or e-mail alees45@hotmail.com.

Second Thursday of each month • The Fraser Valley Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Association is actively searching for serving, non-serving, family members or any other personnel who have served in any function with the Patricias to join them every second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Chilliwack-Vedder Legion Branch 295 (5661 Vedder Rd.). Last Friday of every month • The Mount Cheam Lions hosts a spaghetti dinner on the last Friday of every month at the Lions Club (45580 Spadina Ave.). The cost is $10 and includes spaghetti, garlic toast, tea or coffee, and dessert. It goes from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
