Paddlers had to battle wind and choppy waters during the 58th annual Cultus Lake Water Sports War Canoe Races last weekend.

Above, a team competes in the Buckskin Six Paddle co-ed race near Main Beach on the lake.

The event featured dozens of races including men's and women's 11-paddle, doubles, singles, and juniors. The youngest paddlers were four years old.

Thousands of people came out to the event which drew paddlers from across B.C. and Washington State.
