When this domestic pigeon came into the Chilliwack SPCA, they thought she was injured

Find Me My Furever Home is a weekly video featuring animals up for adoption at the Chilliwack SPCA. It is put together by The Progress in partnership with the Chilliwack SPCA.

A domestic pigeon named Sunny has made its way into the Chilliwack SPCA.

“She came into us injured, and it turns out she was just stunned,” said Chloé MacBeth, Chilliwack SPCA branch manager.

They let her rest, gave her some medical attention and food and now she’s ready to find her ‘furever’ home.

“She would do well in a home that has an aviary. Pigeons can be really great, they’re nice and quiet.”

They don’t know if Sunny had an owner as she was not banded when she came in, but since she’s white Sunny would be an easy target for prey and the SPCA would rather see her get adopted than released into the wild, MacBeth said.
