A sea of red filled the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre Sunday morning as a large number of participants in the Terry Fox Run wore Team Carter shirts in memory of Carter Johnston, a local boy who lost his fight to cancer in March.
Carter was up against osteosarcoma, the same type of cancer Fox himself battled.
He was almost 13 when he passed away six months ago.
The T-shirt campaign contributed $1,700 to a total just under $5,000 raised by the team before Sunday’s event.
