People dropped off toys and gave cash donations during the Ann Davis Transition Society’s annual toy drive at Real Canadian Superstore on Saturday.
Two large bins filled with hundreds of toys and $1,600 was donated during the 12-hour fundraiser.
In return for the donations, Superstore was handing out hot dogs, bacon and eggs, doughnuts and more.
Staff and volunteers with Ann Davis were asking for donations of unwrapped toys, especially items for teens, gift sets for women, and stocking stuffers. Part way through the day, a large donation was made when a representative from Galaxy Cinemas brought several boxes of toys to the fundraiser.
The $1,600 raised from the event will be spent to purchase items that were not donated to help women and families in need this holiday season.
