Above, Michelle Gendron, Myrt Armstrong, and Betty Hawryluk were some of the eight women who made and hung Christmas greeting cards to a tree in Rotary-Corbould Park on Monday afternoon.

The women are part of a bible study group from St. Mary's Church and hung about 80 handmade, personalized cards, some even in different languages. Anyone is welcome to take a card, plus the ornaments on the tree are up for grabs as well.

The group still has more cards, which are made from reused old Christmas cards, and they will replenish the tree when necessary.

"We hope each person who gets one will have a bit of an uplifting moment," says Armstrong.

They are challenging other groups to do the same.
