Everyone is invited to take a leisurely drive through the hillside community of Ryder Lake on June 17.
The long-standing event known as the Ryder Lake Ramble is back in 2023 to showcase some gorgeous gardens, hobby farms, flowers, friendly farm animals and mountain vistas.
There are three new official stops for visitors in 2023 in the mostly agricultural community of Ryder Lake, plus many of the regular host locations from past events.
The Ryder Lake Ramble is a self-guided tour of 14 locations on private property set for Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ramblers can go directly to the Ryder Lake Hall first, located at 49265 Elk View Road, to pick up wristbands and maps before venturing out.
Admission to the event is by donation with a suggested $10 minimum per person, or $20 per family/carload. All funds will go toward renovations and repairs to the Ryder Lake Community Hall.
There will be snacks and displays at the hall from the Fraser Valley Conservancy and vendors. A plant sale will be at the VPG Nursery venue. Folks can hike to awe-inspiring viewpoints, purchase pottery or jams, or check out the toad tunnel as a few suggestions.
Organizers ask that ramblers please keep their pets at home, since all animals can be unpredictable, especially around children.
“These are all private properties, many rustic in nature with hills and uneven ground. Attendance is at your own risk,” according to the online info. “No pets, please.”
