Road safety event at city hall Thursday

They'll be discussing electric bikes, electric and gas-powered scooters, as well as motorized wheelchairs on Thursday at city hall.

Do you need a driver's licence to get around Chilliwack on a scooter?

Many citizens are a little perplexed when it comes to the rules of the road when operating everything from electric bikes to motorized wheelchairs.

City of Chilliwack's Safer City team is holding an open house event to answer questions at City Hall in partnership with RCMP on Thursday, April 18 at 5:30 p.m.

They'll be discussing electric bicycles, both electric and gas-powered scooters, as well as motorized wheelchairs.

Electric bikes will be on display for the open house, provided by City Scooters, said city officials.
