It’s time to give some warmth to those less fortunate this holiday season.
Folks with the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board will be collecting blankets, winter clothing and more as part of the drive-thru Realtors Care Blanket Drive on Nov. 20.
They’ll be in Chilliwack, Agassiz and Hope on Saturday, Nov. 20 and will be collecting donations of blankets, coats, warm clothing, new socks and new underwear.
All donations go to Ruth and Naomi’s Mission and Cyrus Centre in Chilliwack, plus Agassiz Harrison Community Services and Hope Community Services.
They will also be collecting non-perishable food items.
The drive-thru Realtors Care Blanket Drive takes place Saturday, Nov. 20 at these locations and times:
Chilliwack: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 45495 Luckakuck Way
Agassiz: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1824 Highway 9
Hope: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 888 3rd Ave.
In 2020, a total of 455 large bags of blankets and warm clothing were collected. That number was up from 250 bags in 2018 and 325 in 2017.

“It was a very successful event in our eyes considering the time we are in and having to make a huge change in how we collect the items,” organizer Steve Lerigny said last year.
