Get ready to read for as many days as possible in February for a chance to win prizes.
The annual City-Wide Reading Challenge is Feb. 1-21 and it's open to everyone in Chilliwack.
How it works is people track their reading during the three-week event however they want – on their phone, a notepad, or on the event's printable tracker/ballot – and then at the end of the reading challenge they can enter a draw to win a prize.
People can read books, magazines, newspapers, graphic novels, audiobooks, podcasts and more.
"Read as many days as you can. If you miss some days, that’s OK," said Annette Williams with the Chilliwack Learning Society.
The tracker/ballot sheets can be found at Chilliwack's three libraries, or online at bit.ly/CLSreadingchallenge.
Folks can submit their reading-challenge ballot either online, at Chilliwack's three libraries, at the Bob Chan-Kent YMCA, or take a picture of the ballot and email it to info@chilliwacklearning.com.
The deadline is March 1, and winners will be selected randomly on March 6. Prizes are to be picked up at Chilliwack, Sardis or Yarrow libraries.
The City-Wide Reading Challenge is put on by the Chilliwack Learning Society, in partnership with the YMCA and the Chilliwack Literacy Committee.
