Funds raised go toward initiatives at the Chilliwack General Hospital

More than 100 runners took to the Vedder Trail on Mother’s Day, for a fun five kilometre run raising funds for the Chilliwack maternity ward.

It was the 26th event, and saw runners of all ages on the trail.

Liz Harris, executive director of the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation, said 110 runners had pre-registered, and many more registered on site Sunday morning. The fun run raises money to benefit the maternity ward at Chilliwack General Hospital.
