Farriers from around the world were in Chilliwack this week for the Canadian Horseshoeing Championship at Chilliwack Heritage Park.
A total of 26 were in the open category competing for the title of Canadian champ, while five others were in the intermediate class.
Caleb Green of Chilliwack was one of the Canadian competitors, along with his father Jonathan Green of Manitoba. A blacksmith from Australia, one from Switzerland, and others from the U.S. also took part.
The event was presented by the Western Canadian Farrier’s Association and ran from April 4 to 6. The judge was Derek Gardner. Top prize for the open class was $450, and $250 for the intermediate class.
Read The Progress later this week for a feature story on Caleb Green.
