Chilliwack's 147 Airwolf Squadron held their annual ceremonial review June 8, handing out medals and wrapping up their year for the summer.

The review is a time for the cadets to shine, from their polished boots and neatly pressed uniforms, to standing up and receiving accolades for their achievements throughout the year.

This year's reviewing party included Inspector Jeff Bowerman from the Chilliwack RCMP, Commanding Officer Capt. Thomas Benton, Regional Cadet Support Unit representative Lt. Kevin Deck, BCPC League representative Norman Scott, Parent Society Chair Jennifer Medwenitsch, and Squadron Commander Warrant Officer John Turcanu.

Guests from the community are invited to the event, and this year that included school trustee David Swankey, Warrant Officer Doug Harrison (retired) from the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 295, along with several others.

Warrant Officer Second Class Fan received the Strathcona medal, and Warrant Officer Second Class Medwenitsch received the Royal Canadian Legion medal of excellence.
