Chilliwack dancer Eilidh Deakin has been selected to take part in a prestigious highland dance competition in New Brunswick.

Chilliwack dancer Eilidh Deakin (right) of Aberdeen School of Highland Dance has been selected to take part in a prestigious highland dance competition in New Brunswick.

Chilliwack dancer Eilidh Deakin (age 13) of Aberdeen School of Highland Dance has been selected to take part in a prestigious highland dance competition in Moncton, New Brunswick.

From Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, Deakin will compete in the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance scholarship  conference against dancers from across Canada in written theory, choreography, execution of a tribute dance and a master class evaluation.

Deakin is the only dancer in the Fraser Valley who has been selected to attend in many years.
