Legion in Chilliwack to host barbecue, bottle drive for wildfire relief

The Vedder Golden 280 branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a fundraiser for B.C. wildfire victims and evacuees.

A barbecue and bottle drive will be held Saturday, July 31 at the branch on Vedder Road.

Hot dogs and water will be for sale by donation, plus they will be collecting bottles and cans. Donations of cash and gift cards will also be accepted.

All proceeds will go to those displaced by wildfires throughout the province.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at 5661 Vedder Rd.
