People will once again come together for the horses, the history and the heart of farming in the Fraser Valley.
The 103rd annual Chilliwack Plowing Match will turn the sod at Greendale Acres Farm on Saturday, April 5. Bringing generations together to celebrate the region’s rich farming tradition, the competition will see horse-drawn plows, antique tractors and modern machinery.

The plowing gets underway at 10 a.m. and goes until about 3 p.m. There's a special mayors/dignitaries plowing division at 1 p.m.
In addition to the plowing competition, the day will include blacksmith and farrier demonstrations, an interactive learn-to-plow station, live music by the Morgan Griffith Duo starting at 2:30 p.m., and beer and wine sales from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Other attractions include animal displays, spectator viewing areas, scenic rides around the farm on a tractor wagon, and more.
