The Atchelitz Threshermen’s Association (ATA) annual two-day garage sale is happening now in Chilliwack.

Surrounded by displays of antique farm machinery, folks browsed through rows upon rows of tables filled with household goods, farm supplies, books and more Saturday morning.

The event is “pretty much the only thing we can do to raise money to help us cover our costs,” said ATA president Ray Ramey.

Other income for the ATA comes in the form of membership fees and donations, typically from events they host. With the cancellation of its events this year, those donations have not been coming in for the historic agricultural museum society so this weekend’s fundraiser is essential.

The annual ATA garage sale is today (Saturday, Sept. 26) until 3 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The site is located at 44146 Luckakuck Way, beside Chilliwack Heritage Park. Information will be collected at the gate for contact tracing purposes.
