Fraser Valley Record Fair replays in Chilliwack

Nearly twice as many vendors will be at this year's event; organizers expecting even bigger turnout

Vinyl record enthusiasts will drop into Chilliwack for a second annual fair this fall.

The Fraser Valley Record Fair is set for Sunday, Nov. 10 at the Princess Armouries in Chilliwack.

"Last year’s fair was a much greater success than expected," said organizer Evan McDowell. "We had over 700 people over the course of the day. People came from as far as Prince George, Kelowna and Victoria."

It's being dubbed as the Fraser Valley's largest vinyl record, CD and music memorabilia fair.

Last year, fellow organizer Ryan Wugalter called it the "best record store in town for one day only."

This year, there will be 50 vendors, nearly twice as many as last year, and they’re expecting an even bigger turnout. Folks can expect to see a variety of items including shirts, CDs, posters, and other memorabilia.

Those who would like to be a vendor can email fraservalleyrecordfair@gmail.com. There will also be a food truck on site.

"We always hoped to make it an annual event, and with the success of last year we’re hopeful it will continue for years to come," McDowell said.

The second annual Fraser Valley Record Fair is Sunday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 45707 Princess Ave. Admission is $2 at the door.
