The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation recently held its annual gala, raising more than $200,000.

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation's recent gala, Masquerade Ball, raised more than $200,000 to support hospitals in the eastern Fraser Valley.

The event, presented by Snowcrest Foods, was held Nov. 15 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre in Abbotsford and was MCed by Howard Blank.

The evening began with an acrobatic performance by the Abbotsford Dance Centre.

A live auction raised more than $19,000. The featured prize was two tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras concert in Vancouver donated by the BC Pavilion Community Benefit Program and PavCo and accompanied by a $1,000 Mastercard gift card donated by the Conair Group, which garnered a $12,000 bid.

Other auction prizes included two Abbotsford Canucks suite tickets for a home game; a getaway at Sandpiper Golf Course in Harrison Mills, including a one-night stay in a one-bedroom cabin, golf passes for four, and $200 at River’s Edge Restaurant; an all-inclusive stay for two at Sundance Guest Ranch in Ashcroft; and a blue tanzanite and diamond ring donated by Lanka Jewels.

Also during the gala, the Fund a Need initiative raised more than $100,000 to address critical needs at hospitals in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Hope and Misson.

FVHCF executive director Liz Harris extended the organization's "deepest gratitude" to everyone who contributed to the gala.

"The generosity and support from our community have been truly inspiring," she said.

The organization is currently hosting an online 50/50 raffle at fvhcf5050.rafflenexus.com in which the winner can receive up to $20,000. The draw takes place Monday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.

Donations to the organization can be made online at fvhcf.ca, by email at info@fvhcf.ca or by phone at 1-877-661-0314.
