Marion’s Dressing Room is hosting their first Street Fashion Show this Saturday in downtown Chilliwack.

Twelve models will depart Marion’s shop, catwalk down the sidewalk and into Urban Sprout cafe, each donning two looks throughout the afternoon.

The fashion, all presented by Marion’s Dressing Room, will follow the theme ‘From Bohemia to Rome.’ Showing a mix of current and vintage styles, Marion is contrasting boho looks with Audrey Hepburn circa Roman Holiday (1953).

Each model will have a numbered wristband to allow viewers to keep track of their favourite looks to shop for after the show.

Store owner Marion Peters-Marks has put on more than a dozen fashion shows in the past 22 years, but this will be her first ‘street’ show.

She’s collaborating with Laura Jenson-Praat of Urban Sprout, which will be offering samples of their food.

The fashion show starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, beginning at 46150-A Yale Road. The show is free to attend, but donations will be gratefully accepted for Chilliwack Community Animal Projects.

If seating is desired, reservations can be made by phoning Urban Sprout at 604-402-2223. Otherwise, standing room will be available along the sidewalk.
