If you’re still looking for fun family events this spring break the Great Blue Heron Reserve is just the place to find it.

Their annual Family Nature Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 22 and 23. They will have a variety of family-friendly crafts and nature programs throughout the day, including guided tours of the heron colony.

They will have a “touch” table, wildlife art, and an observation station. And yes, the herons are back and nesting.

The event is free and will run rain or shine, with plenty of indoor options should the weather not cooperate. They are encouraging the public to come out and learn what makes the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve such a wonderful and unique place.

For more information, call 604-823-6603 and ask to speak to Camille, visit chilliwackblueheron.com, or find them on Facebook under The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society.
