There’s a new market happening that’s bringing farmers and artisans from around the Fraser Valley together in one place: the Cultus Lake Summer Farmers’ Market.
Originally thought of late last summer, the Cultus Lake Summer Farmers’ Market kicked off in June and runs every Saturday until just before the season turns.
Located in the main beach area of Cultus Lake Park, Malcolm Weatherston, market manager, says the Summer Farmers’ Market will be offering a variety of “fresh field greens, vegetables and herbs from local farmers, (as well as) fresh, local fruits and flowers, berry jams, fruit butters, fresh baking, cheeses, and hot foods.”
Depending on the day, there may also be natural products such as soaps and hygiene products, woodworking items, handmade jewelry, clothes, and even craft beers. “There’s something for everyone,” added Weatherston.
It’s a great opportunity to come out and support local vendors, says Weatherston—and don’t forget the water slides and amusement park are just seconds away, making an outing to the Market an event the whole family can enjoy.
The market is open 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Saturday until Sept. 1.
