It’s time for the Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

That’s the theme for the 27th annual Sto:lo Children’s Festival, being planned for July 10.

The day has been inspired by the movie Jurassic Park, and is open to anyone in the community to join in.

The event includes a lunch, midway games, bouncy castles, a Slahal tournament, prizes, a colouring contest, and even “Sto:lo’s Got Talent.”

Kids ages 15 or under with a special talent can sign up beforehand to show off their skills on that day. While the festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the talent show starts at 1 p.m.

The festival runs rain or shine, but it is an outdoor event, at Sto:lo Nation at 7201 Vedder Road. It’s a free day of fun, but pre-registration is preferred, through an online form available at www.stolonation.bc.ca.

Exhibitor packages are being accepted for submission up until June 19, and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Questions about the event can be directed to Jade Black or Brooke Willie at 604-824-3200.
