Organizers are calling an upcoming fundraiser for Soroptimist International of Chilliwack a “delightful mix of cosiness and sophistication.”
The seventh annual Pajamas and Pearls event is set for April 13 at the Chilliwack Curling Club.
“This is our most important fundraiser that supports our Live Your Dream awards,” said Soroptimist member Heather Rollins.
The Live Your Dream award helps women, who provide the primary source of financial support for their families, by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.

Pajamas and Pearls will include dinner, a silent auction, caricaturist, face painter, 50/50 draw, dancing, a DJ, and a spin-to-win fundraiser where everyone will win a prize.
There’s also the heads-or-tails event where participants pay to play and then compete to guess whether a coin flip will result in heads or tails. If it’s heads, all the people that put their hands on their heads can stay in the game and those who put their hands on their backside have to sit down. The last person standing wins half of the pool.
People are also invited to flaunt their favourite pyjamas while adding a touch of glamour with their finest pearls. Those who come donning the pyjamas-and-pearls theme will have a chance to win a prize for the best dressed.
“We will be having a few of this year’s award winners speaking at the event,” Rollins added. “We were able to award $12,000 in awards to help women in our community.”
Last year’s event was sold out, and the goal for this year’s Pajamas and Pearls is to host 150 guests and raise $12,000.
The local organization has been active in the City of Chilliwack since 1935.
Soroptimist International of Chilliwack’s seventh annual Pajamas and Pearls fundraiser is Saturday, April 13 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Chilliwack Curling Club. Tickets are $75 and available Eventbrite.
