Columbia Valley Fire Hall host fire awareness day

A small fire hall on the outskirts of Chilliwack is hosting an event on Saturday.

It’s Community Fire Awareness Day at the Columbia Valley Fire Hall April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a barbecue by donation, raffle, information displays, swag, and professionals on-site to answer questions about what it’s like to be a firefighter and how to prepare your home and property for wildfire season.

The Columbia Valley Fire Hall is at 1202 Kosikar Rd., southwest of Cultus Lake.
