The community has a unique opportunity to have questions about mental health and wellness answered by a professional in Chilliwack next week.

Dr. Debbie Thompson will be sharing information about treatment, support and resources at a special session of Strengthening Families Together on Tuesday, March 27, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Anyone with a relative or friend who is struggling with mental health issues is welcome at the session, to learn about support and information. The questions and information is available for all levels of mental health distress, from anxiety and/or depression to mental illness, diagnosed or not.

Dr. Thompson is a Fraser Health Clinical Pharmacy Specialist of the Psychiatry Mental Health & Substance Use Community and Psychosis Treatment Optimization Program.

There is also a Strengthening Families Together 10-session program, that is just wrapping up. The open session does not require registration, and will be held at the Chilliwack General Hospital. (From the psychiatric unit, turn right toward Riverstone and find the group room on the left.)
