Chilliwack students learn about business and charity during entrepreneurship fair

Mt. Slesse Grade 8 kids will be donating 20 per cent of their business profits to the food bank

The entire Grade 8 population of Mt. Slesse middle took part in the school’s entrepreneurship fair on Thursday.

The fair, Yes We Can, saw rows and rows of booths set up in the gym offering up everything from s’more cookies to pierogies to cupcakes to dog treats.

Some of the things students learned about were marketing and costs of running a business.

Additionally, the entrepreneurship fair gave the kids an opportunity to help out those in need, as 20 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the food bank.
