This year will mark 36 years of the Chilliwack Rodeo being held at the Chilliwack Fair, and admission to the rodeo this year is included in your admission to the fair.

There are BCRA shows all weekend long, with opening ceremonies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 9), and the first show beginning at 7 p.m.

Saturday's show starts at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday begins at 1:30 p.m.

This year's rodeo has a number of highlights worked into the schedule, including mutton bustin' and junior events like steer riding, barrel racing and breakaway roping.

The West Coast Thunder Drill Team will perform, and audiences will be treated to a rodeo clown act by Dennis Halstead.

On both Saturday and Sunday, there will be stick-horse racing for the kids, starting one hour before the rodeo start time. This is sponsored by the Chilliwack Riding Club.

The whole weekend will be overseen by professional rodeo announcer Al Parson, ensuring a great experience for audiences.

A VIP section is available on a first-come, first-served basis, for $10 cash only on site, on Saturday and Sunday.
