A class of Grade 6 students at Promontory elementary recently completed a photo assignment in conjunction with the Chilliwack Museum and The Chilliwack Progress.

After a presentation to the class from Progress photojournalist, Jenna Hauck, each of the 30 kids submitted their best image — those images now make up the ‘Kidtography’ display at the museum as part of its Photography from Obscura to App exhibition.

Hauck chose her favourite of the 30 photos, which was this image (above) taken by Julia Everitt.

“The composition of this image, using the rule of thirds, and the lines in the snow leading to the tire is what makes this an interesting photograph,” says Hauck.

You can catch the Kidtography exhibit on display at the Chilliwack Museum until June 10.
