It’s a bit of a zoo over at Marcom Signs and Graphics lately.

They’ve got a menagerie that includes every animal under the sun — and in a child’s imagination. The graphics company put the call out to Evans Grade 2 teacher Mrs. Tebrinke, asking for her to submit artwork from her students.

The kids happily obliged and those works of art are now a part of the landscape at Marcom. There is Gavin’s sardine, Alexa’s blue whale, and Ben’s monkey, for starters. The colourful additions brighten up the Yale Road business, but it’s not the first time they’ve done something cheerful to their exterior.

“We wanted to decorate our outside wall,” said Keith Graham. “So at Christmas we wrapped the wall with vinyl to look like a Christmas gift. This time we wanted to do something community orientated so we got the kids from Mrs. Tebrinke’s class to draw some animals and we used those.”

They’re hoping people will pop by to admire the artwork for the kids’ sake while it’s up.
