A Chilliwack real estate agency is once again collecting Christmas presents for kids in need, but this year there's a big emphasis on gifts for teens.
Remax Nyda Realty will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys during its 31st annual Toy House on Saturday, Dec. 7. It's a drive-thru fundraiser with the option to drop off items the week leading up to the event.
"Toys for all ages welcomed but there is an extra need for gifts for teenagers," reads a poster for the toy drive.
All donations will go to Chilliwack Community Services for its Christmas Sharing Program.
Here's a list of some suggested gifts:
- Sports and activities: Nerf toys, bikes, helmets, hockey gear, skateboards, activity trackers, basketballs/soccer balls
- Games, arts and crafts: art supplies, Lego sets, bead/craft kits
- Electronics: video games, portable chargers, Fujifilm Instax or Polaroid cameras and film, handheld gaming devices, LED lights
