Short stay for Horak

Roman Horak’s trip to Hartford was short, and ended abruptly Thursday morning.

The Chilliwack Bruins arrived in Connecticut April 2 and signed an amateur tryout agreement with the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolfpack on Tuesday.

But the Czech didn’t see any game action with Hartford, and barely had time to unpack his bags before the team released him from the ATO yesterday.

Horak was a fifth-round selection (127th overall) of the parent New York Rangers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rangers general manager, Glen Sather, is a member of the Chilliwack Bruins ownership group.
