Rouse leaves Bruins

The Chilliwack Bruins announced on Monday that Bob Rouse has resigned from his post as assistant coach and general manager. The ex-NHLer had been with the team for three years, and was instrumental in luring current head coach and GM Marc Habscheid to Chilliwack.

Rouse, Habscheid and Dave Archibald (assistant coach) were all teammates on the Minnesota North Stars in the early 1980s.

"We respect Bob’s decision and we’d like to thank him for everything he’s done for the organization and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Habscheid, who also added that the search for a replacement will begin immediately. “We have some time. We’re in no hurry and we’ll take our time to find the best person for our organization.”
