Chilliwack native Justin Kirsch is a Western Hockey League champion.
His Calgary Hitmen downed the Tri-City Americans 4-1 in game five Saturday to take the series and the Ed Chynoweth Cup. Kirsch, a 17-year-old WHL rookie didn’t see any action during Calgary’s playoff run, but is on the roster and suited up for 34 regular season games.
Kirsch will be joining his team in Brandon, Manitoba as the Hitmen take part in the 2010 Memorial Cup tournament. See .
