Toronto Raptors star DeMar DeRozan is coming to Langley this summer.

The three-time NBA all-star will bring his high-powered excitement and share some of the drills he used to make himself an elite basketball player to the DeMar DeRozan Basketball Camp at the Langley Events Centre.

DeRozan was also named to the All-NBA third team, the first time he has received that honour in his seven-year career.

DeRozan, who is from Compton, Calif., averaged a career-high 27.3 points, fifth in the NBA, a career-high 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 35.9 minutes in 74 games this past season. He is also now the Raptors’ all-time leading scorer.

The camp runs Aug. 8 to 11 and is open to both boys and girls ages six to 16. It will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It is open to all skill levels and the groups will be broken down into smaller age-based groups to ensure each participant is provided the opportunity to excel.

The camp will feature form shooting, repetition, ball handling, defensive perimeter, 1-on-1 moves, passing, conditioning and in-game decision making. The camp will be led by DeRozan and special guest speakers and coaches.

Each camp attendee will receive a DeMar DeRozan/Nike camp T-shirt, an autograph and a photo with the NBA star.

The cost of the camp is $375.
