Chilliwack’s Treyvon Walsh contributed two and a half tackles in a losing cause as his Alberta Golden Bears fell 43-17 to the Saskatchewan Huskies last Friday.

The third year player and GW Graham grad played defensive back and added a pass breakup, knocking away a Kyle Siemens pass intended for receiver Mitch Hillis.

Walsh has appeared in both regular season games for the Golden Bears, who are off to an 0-2 start. He assisted on three tackles in a 55-26 loss to the Calgary Dinos in week one.

Walsh’s former GWG teammate, Emerson Smith, is in his second year at UAB, still waiting to make his U Sports debut.

He did make a preseason start vs UBC and posted three tackles.
