Whitewater kayak boater cross is an event where four to six paddlers race downriver at the same time. Collisions and flipped boats are a common sight.

A total of 11 paddlers raced that day including Jon Allen from Chilliwack. The winners of the competition were: Darius Ramrattan of Calgary for first place, Mike Holroyd of Calgary for second place, and local kayaker Jon Allen for third place.
