Chilliwack’s Von Richardson wins B.C. High School Football award

The GW Graham senior has been named Player of the Week after a 290 yard, 7 TD performance.

Von Richardson’s huge performance against Samuel Robertson Tech last Friday has earned him the B.C. High School Football Player of the Week award.

GW Graham’s workhorse running back ripped off 290 yards and seven touchdowns in a 46-7 win over the Titans.

This season the Grade 12 student has carried 162 times for 1395 yards, averaging 8.61 yards per carry. He’s rushed for 21 touchdowns, adding two more as a receiver.

What makes his season all the more remarkable is that Richardson is a starter on the Grizzly defence as well, where he has contributed 57 tackles, two quarterback sacks and a fumble recovery.
