Chilliwack’s Kate Stuart and Team B.C. repeat as bronze medalists at last weekend’s National U-18 Women’s Hockey Championship, with a 2-1 overtime win over Saskatchewan.

The 17 year old goaltender appeared in two games, starting strong with a 3-0 shutout win over Team Manitoba.

Her second appearance was shakier, a semi-final matchup vs Ontario Red last Saturday where Stuart stopped seven of 10 shots and was pulled after the first period of a 6-1 loss.

Kendra Woodland (Kamloops) took over in goal and stayed there for Sunday’s bronze medal match.

Meanwhile, Ontario Red went on to win its fourth straight gold medal with a 3-1 triumph over Ontario Blue.
