Chilliwack native Ethan Mastin has been named the 2018 Most Improved Player for the St. Francis Xavier football team.
The GW Graham grad appeared in all eight regular season games for the X-Men this season after not playing at all in 2017. The defensive back made the most of his playing time, producing 25 solo tackles and eight assists along with a forced fumble, interception and three passes defenced.
Mastin helped the X-Men post a 6-2 record in Atlantic University Sport regular season play, and was in the middle of the action Nov. 10 when St. Francis Xavier pummeled the Saint Mary’s Huskies 33-9 to win the AUS championship.
