Chilliwack Chiefs captain named BCHL Player of the Week

His Chiefs are down in the Fred Page Cup final, but Jordan Kawaguchi is putting up huge numbers.

For the second time in the last three weeks, Chilliwack Chiefs captain Jordan Kawaguchi is the BCHL’s Player of the Week.

Kawaguchi padded his lead in the playoff scoring race, producing four goals and nine points in three Fred Page Cup final games vs the Penticton Vees.

Game three of the best-of-seven series saw Kawaguchi score both Chilliwack goals in a 5-2 loss.

He scored once and had two assists in a 4-3 overtime loss in game four and had two goals and four points in a series-extending 4-2 home-ice win Saturday night at Prospera Centre.

Kawaguchi has 18 goals and 23 assists for 41 points in 21 playoff games.
