Two days after dealing away defenceman Sean Thomson to acquire scoring punch, the Chilliwack Chiefs have bolstered the blueline.

Brendan O’Reilly joins Chilliwack this weekend.

The 20 year old D-man has spent parts of the last four seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Tri-City Americans, logging 153 games in the major junior circuit.

O’Reilly didn’t post big numbers, just three goals and 16 points along with 117 penalty minutes. He is listed at six-foot-three and 209 pounds on eliteprospects.com

The St. Louis native brings the Chiefs up to their roster maximum of 23 players and is expected to join the team in time for weekend road games in Trail and West Kelowna.
