BCHL extra: Butcher brother to Langley

The Langley Rivermen have inked the kid brother of former Chilliwack Chief Matt Butcher.

The kid brother of ex-Chilliwack Chief Matt Butcher is joining the BCHL’s Langley Rivermen. Langley announced the signing of 17-year-old Ben Butcher Wednesday.

The Bellingham (Washington) native spent last season with Kelowna’s Pursuit of Excellence U-18 program where he put up eight goals and 14 assists in 42 games.

Butcher stands six-foot-two and weighs 190 pounds, and his father is former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Garth Butcher.
