Chiefs host Victoria Grizzlies

The Chilliwack Chiefs have a light, but challenging, weekend ahead.

They play just one game, but it happens to be against one of the hottest teams in the BCHL.

The Victoria Grizzlies come into the Saturday night tilt at Prospera Centre with just one loss (in overtime) in the four games they’ve played.

It’s surprising stuff from a team that wasn’t expected to do much.

The Grizzlies stumbled through last season, posting a record of 21-38-1-0.

Victoria turned over most of their roster in the summer and expected a slow start while the roster came together.

Bill Bestwick was hired to coach in July, and somehow he has a team with 17 new faces in position to give better teams like Chilliwack trouble.

Puck drop for this one is 7 p.m.
