Chilliwack Attack fight back
The Chilliwack Attack (formerly the Lunachicks) opened their ladies gold soccer season Sunday morning, hosting Vancouver’s Meralomas United.
Andrea Feaver opened the scoring just four minutes into this one, re-directing a Deanna Hawes cross into the Meralomas net.
The visitors tied the game on a penalty shot at the 19 minute mark, and surged ahead 15 minutes later when a hot shot from 25 yards out eluded the Chilliwack keeper.
The Attack came back on a goal by Jody Hanninen, who knocked in a Feaver corner kick with six minutes remaining in the first half. There was no scoring in the second half.
Chilliwack travels to Cloverdale Friday night to face the defending champions, Surrey United.
