Synchro swimmers star in Kamloops
Synchro BC held its BC Provincial synchronized swimming championships last weekend in Kamloops, with a trio of Chilliwack YMCA Orcas making the trip.
Chilliwack’s Emily Neill and Olivia Strickland and Abbotsford’s Cailin Jones showed well, placing in all the events they entered.
Neill was fourth in the level five 15-and-over figure event, and third in the level 5 solo event. Her combined results gave her a silver medal.
Duet partners Jones and Strickland placed eighth in their respective level one and two figure events.
Along with a fourth place finish in the level two duet 13-15 age group, they had a solid fourth place championship placing.
Strickland competed in the level two 12-and-under solo event, taking silver and finishing less than a 10th of a point out of top spot.
Strickland and Neill have both been selected to represent Zone 3 Lower Mainland at the BC Summer Games that take place in Surrey July 19-22.
