UFV Cascades look forward to next season
The University of the Fraser Valley Cascades men’s basketball team will hold an identification camp April 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Abbotsford's Envision Athletic Centre.
Young players will be taken through a series of drills by the UFV coaching staff before taking part in an officiated scrimmage.
The Cascade coaches will be evaluating players, joined by several PACWest coaches.
The cost of the identification camp is $30 per student-athlete (sign up and pay on arrival), and only those that are serious about competing at a post-secondary level should attend.
Players are asked to bring a reversible jersey, or at minimum a light and a dark shirt.
The Cascades are the defending Canada West silver medalists and ranked fourth nationally in the final CIS top 10 poll. UFV participated in the CIS Final 8 championship tournament in Halifax, Nova Scotia, finishing fourth in Canada.
