In praise of kindness
For reasons unknown even to me, I left my wedding band sitting on the table at the Tim Horton’s in Vedder Crossing on Wednesday morning after enjoying breakfast with a friend.
I didn’t notice it missing until I was sitting in a doctor’s waiting room in Abbotsford. I couldn’t return to Tim Horton’s until 5:30, and after asking if it had been turned in, the lovely manager kindly retrieved it from where it was openly sitting on a shelf in the back. She had no idea who had found it, and so I just want to say a hearty and humble thank-you to the kind soul who rescued my ring and saved me a lot of potential grief and heartache, and to those of you who had opportunity to pocket it. Thank-you for your integrity and honesty. May you all be blessed as you blessed me.
