LETTER: Biannual seniors spring banquet was a big success

Thank you to all who supported and attended the sold-out Seniors Spring Banquet held in the grand hall of Chilliwack Secondary School on May 3.

Tables were decorated with pretty centrepieces. A delicious three-course dinner, with an entree of beef rouladen, spaetzle and vegetables, was prepared by Chef Richard Niezen, his staff and culinary students.

Thank you to the two students who entertained us prior to the meal. Our emcee was Al Ricard, and Bill McLean said the blessing for the meal. Chef Richard thanked everyone for attending, with special thanks to his staff and students.

Proceeds of the banquet are allocated to bursaries. We seniors feel fortunate to enjoy these dinners twice a year and look forward to the next one in December.
